What you need:

You want to first glue the opposite color strands together at the ends. Once that is done you will have 2 long strands of ribbon. Next, you will crisscross the ribbon together.

You will start by crossing over the top right to the top left.
You will then bring the top left (Yellow) over the top right (blue) and cross sit around the back bring it back around to the left.
You will now have 3 strands on the left side and 1 on the right side. With the one blue strand left on the right side, bring that over to the left side. You will now have all strands on the left side of the headband.
Now that you have all strands on the left side you want to bring the top yellow in between the 2 blue strands. Bringing the top left yellow to the right side. After that you will bring the top blue strand in between the blue and yellow strands on the left, bringing the top blue to the right side.
At this point, you will have your first weave and two strands of opposite colors on each side. You will repeat this process all the way to the end of the headband. The above video is more detailed and easy to follow. If you have any questions about this tutorial or any other on my site please feel free to comment.

Cricut Easy Press 2 Demo!

Cricut Easy Press 2

Hello Everyone,

This is the second part to the unboxing video we did on Tuesday. I have to say I am in love with this thing. I am like so upset I was being cheap before and didn’t purchase it. This is going to cut my work time in half and allow me to complete more projects in a shorter amount of time. This “Yaaas Queen” shirt I made is for my daughter. It came out just as I envisioned it. Also, when she came home from school she absolutely loves it. The next project I will be working on will be some custom hairbows. I absolutely recommend getting this if you 1, have no room for a professional press or 2, don’t want to pay for it. This is the way to go. And you can travel with it if need be. Watch the video below to see how it works.

Yarn Pom Pom Spiders & Tassel Ghost Tutorial

Hello Everyone,

I am so far behind on putting up Halloween decorations. Life has gotten in the way of me doing all my diy’s. However, today I was in the mood to gather myself together and make some cute little yarn pom-pom spiders and tassel ghosts. Not only was this a stress reliever for me I know my kids will have fun making them too. Below is a step by step tutorial and video on how I made this cute little Halloween garland.

~Nika xoxo

I started by making a template out of some cardboard and my circle template. Make 2 circles you will see why in the video. Afterwards, I made a smaller circle on the inside of the bigger circles. Cut that out and made a slit at the top of each circle so that I could wrap the yarn as shown above. After wrapping around the yarn twice for a more poofy pom-pom I slid my scissors in between the 2 cardboard pieces and cut. Before pulling the yarn off I took another piece of string, slid it in between the two circles and tie a knot. Once that is tied you may then pull the 2 circles away from the yarn. The video below shows how to complete the pom-pom spiders by trimming and placing the googly eyes and legs on.

For the tassels, I wrapped the yarn around a piece of cardboard until I achieved the look I was going for. Then I cut the end of one side of the yarn and slowly slid the yarn away from the cardboard. Once I had it off I tied a piece of string around the top, tied a knot so that it looks like the head of a ghost. Once that was complete I drew eyes and a nose with a sharpie.
