DIY Holiday Decorative Wine Glasses!

What you need:

  • Wine Glasses
  • Hot glue or glue suitable for glasses
  • Decorations
  • Yarn, Glitter or Paint

You want to first start by adding the string to the base of the glass and continue adding until you are satisfied. If you are using glitter or paint you want to do the same thing. Just add the glitter or the paint to the base of the glass to your liking.

Next, add leaves, flowers, rhinestones or whatever you may be decorating your glass with. You can add your decorations to the butt of the glass as I did or you can decorate the main base of the glass. It’s all to your liking.

This is the second glass I decorated. In this one, I put stars on the main part of the glass instead of the butt like I did in the first one. The video does show you how I did it all step by step.

Make sure you share your photos and your glass decorating ideas with me.

Yarn Pom Pom Spiders & Tassel Ghost Tutorial

Hello Everyone,

I am so far behind on putting up Halloween decorations. Life has gotten in the way of me doing all my diy’s. However, today I was in the mood to gather myself together and make some cute little yarn pom-pom spiders and tassel ghosts. Not only was this a stress reliever for me I know my kids will have fun making them too. Below is a step by step tutorial and video on how I made this cute little Halloween garland.

~Nika xoxo

I started by making a template out of some cardboard and my circle template. Make 2 circles you will see why in the video. Afterwards, I made a smaller circle on the inside of the bigger circles. Cut that out and made a slit at the top of each circle so that I could wrap the yarn as shown above. After wrapping around the yarn twice for a more poofy pom-pom I slid my scissors in between the 2 cardboard pieces and cut. Before pulling the yarn off I took another piece of string, slid it in between the two circles and tie a knot. Once that is tied you may then pull the 2 circles away from the yarn. The video below shows how to complete the pom-pom spiders by trimming and placing the googly eyes and legs on.

For the tassels, I wrapped the yarn around a piece of cardboard until I achieved the look I was going for. Then I cut the end of one side of the yarn and slowly slid the yarn away from the cardboard. Once I had it off I tied a piece of string around the top, tied a knot so that it looks like the head of a ghost. Once that was complete I drew eyes and a nose with a sharpie.

DIY Halloween Lollipop Spiders | Mummy Crafts!

Hello Everyone,

I always love getting into the fall season when I get to create tons of crafts. It’s just something about the cool weather that makes me want to create. It is slightly early to be thinking about Halloween but, I just can’t help myself. Below is a video showcasing just 2 simple ideas that I had to decorate lollipops. These tutorials are fun for adults and kids alike. I hope you like them too. Also, I provide step by step instructions on how to assemble the crafts.

~Nika xoxo

For the mummy. I use a toilet paper roll. I start off by placing a bottom on the roll to make sure whatever we put inside doesn’t fall out.
Next, we take scraps of fabric or streamer and begin wrapping it around the roll to give the appearance of a mummy being wrapped. It Doesn’t have to be perfect and I actually like the frayed scruffy look of the mummy.
Finally, we place the googly eyes on with the glue gun to secure the eyes on the fabric. Make sure to leave the top part open to place the treats inside. After you can close it off or leave it open. These would be great for a party, handing out to trick or treaters or simply decorations around the house.

You can check out how to make the spider legs for the lollipops in the video below.

4 Ingredient Brownies

Hey Everyone,

Today I wanted something chocolate but healthy. As well I have been thinking of all the issues my children are having with stomach issues and food sensitivities. And I wanted to make something that wouldn’t bother their poor little bellies. So, I came across a recipe with only for ingredients that had no flour or granulated sugar. The best part of all I had all the ingredients at home already. Wonderful! One less trip to the grocery store. I did change a few things in the recipe and will be changing a few things the next time I make them. This time I use special dark cocoa powder instead of regular and I added a splash of pure vanilla extract to them. Below is the quick video with all the information you need to make these brownies for yourself. As well I will leave the ingredients below the video. Comment and let me know if you make them and how yours turned out. Also if you alter the recipe let me know what you changed.
