Here are my 36″ strips cut I made extra just in case

Take your needle and sew a running stitch like shown above all the way to the end of the ribbon.

I pulled the ribbon to start the flower as I kept sewing along the running stitch

20151114_181546941_iOS 20151114_182240151_iOSOnce you are to the end pull to form a flower. When you pull the thread the ribbon will form a circle on its own.

Note: (if the ribbon turns the wrong way as you’re pulling it simply turn it the right way and keep forming the circle.)

I took my needle through the ribbon several times along the inner circle to make sure it was extra tight and secure.

Now you want to follow the first 3 steps until all the flowers are formed.

I used several different colors

Take a 36″ strip of ribbon tie in a knot at the top for hanging

Now you want to begin placing the flowers. I started at the knot. I used hot glue to hold them together (you can sew them instead). Continue until you form a circle. Once you have all of the flowers placed like you want them. I completed mine with some flatback pearls and then I used some fabric stiffen that I purchased at Michael’s. You can purchase it from any hobby store. And….

Princess Dress Party Invitations!

What You Will Need:
Card stock
Decorations
Tulle
Hot glue gun
Princess dress template

IMG_1276

First step is to trace the template on the card stock. I folded mine in half so I can cut two at once since I am making 20 invitations.

Once you have the template traced on the card stock cut out the dress. Your second step is to decorate it to your liking. I added tulle and flat back pearls around the neck line to mine. I also took ribbon to use on the waist line. This project can be done many different ways along with many different colors of card stock and decorations.

Below is the end result of my invitation.

Last Minute Valentine (For Kids!)

Valentine Butterfly!

To make this cute little personalized Valentine Card you need a stencil to trace.

butterfly stencil

I found a half silhouette online using Google. I just took a white piece of paper and traced directly on my computer screen. After that I folded my paper in half traced and cute around the traced butterfly half wing.

Once I unfolded the butterfly this is what it looks like. I drew a heart on each wing then wrote the name of the child it was going to. The children in the class along with the teacher. For my daughters Valentine’s Day party. To finish it off…

I added a lollipop to give it that extra effect. This project can be modified for any type of holiday or event.
