Staying Focused!

Hello Everyone,

I know its been a while since I made a post. Sorry to all of you who look for those from me. I am back to staying focused and staying on track with everything. The plan is to do a weekly blog post. I can’t commit to a specific day because life can be crazy. Soon I want to start posting recipes. I guess the advice I want to give to all of you is. No matter what you are doing in life rather you work from home or you work for “The Man” we have to maintain focused. This is something I struggle with often, then I tend to get frustrated with myself because I am not where I should be. Bottom line I can’t put blame on anyone but myself. Especially with my book that I’m sure so many people are waiting for me to complete. I am glad I have gotten myself to a point where I can stay focused finally and focus on why I am doing what I’m doing. The main goal is to provide a stable future for my children. So for me if I am not staying on track then I am not getting any closer to providing my children with the future I want them to have. Though I teach them to be independent and learn to provide for themselves. I still want them to have some kind of financial security in the event they ever get in a bind or my death.

My problem is letting other things get in the way of doing what I need to do. As well as wanting to do to many things at once. If you are like me. My suggestion to you is, outline your plan. Ask yourself these questions:

What is it I want to do? If the answer is many things. Start with the easiest thing first

What is my timeline? Decide when you want to complete your tasks and do your best to stay on track

What is standing in my way? If the answer is family, health, outside job, finances. These are things I deal with, when I can’t sew I work on my book and pdf patterns, financial start off slow or find the things that don’t cost money and focus on that first. Like my husband always tells me. You are working to get things done and you can’t do everything overnight. Don’t stress yourself out. As long as you have the goals in place and are setting them in motion then you are much closer to your goals than you were before.

I could go on and on but my suggestion to you is to love what you are doing. If you don’t love it, if you are doing it because someone else thinks you should. If you don’t love what you do you want get the results you are looking for and you will find yourself to be miserable in the end.
